AirAsia Cambodia will launch a new route to Singapore
AirAsia Cambodia will launch a new route to Singapore.
From November 9, the latest addition to the AirAsia Group will launch daily flights from Siem Reap to Singapore.
First launched in May 2024, AirAsia Cambodia started operating flights domestically before launching its first international route to Kuala Lumpur. The airline also announced it will launch flights to Phuket this winter.
In a statement, Bo Lingam, CEO, AirAsia Aviation Group said: “Elevating travel connectivity within the Asean region has been the lynch pin of our model since we started operations with just two planes over 22 years ago. This new route direct to Singapore signifies the start of a broader Group strategy supporting the revival of the tourism industry and a new era for international services to and from Cambodia”
“Since we launched services in early May 2024, we are witnessing strong demand and significant opportunities for growth in a number of key international markets. Singapore is the start of a number of new destinations we are keen to launch soon including the potential of a direct route linking Phnom Penh to Singapore,” added Vissoth Nam, CEO, AirAsia Cambodia.
Between Siem Reap and Singapore, AirAsia Cambodia will be the lone budget carrier offering flights between the two cities. Singapore Airlines currently operates daily flights on the route.
